Open House, How to Enroll, and FAQs

Discover Tree of Life Christian Preschool

Our annual Open House for the upcoming school year is on Saturday January 10, 2026 10am-12pm. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet our teachers, explore our classrooms, and experience the nurturing, play-based environment that makes Tree of Life so special.

During the Open House, families may complete a registration form on-site or take one home to submit later. Please note that applications must include payment and cannot be accepted online. Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served policy, so we encourage you to submit your materials as soon as possible after the registration date listed on your form.

The $50 application fee is required once per child. If your child is returning for another school year, this fee is waived. We offer priority registration for:

  • Families that are currently enrolled in Tree of Life or Carpenter’s Shop
  • Families previously enrolled at Tree of Life
  • Families who are alumni of Tree of Life
  • Members of the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay

Non-priority (general) registration is handled on a lottery basis.

FAQs

Enrollment for the upcoming school year opens at our January Open House. Registration forms and payments are accepted in person or by mail on a first-come, first-served basis.

We offer programs for 2 yr olds with a 1:6 ratio, and for 3 yr olds with a 1:8 ratio to ensure each child receives personalized attention and care.

Yes — we are a Christian preschool grounded in love, kindness, and community. We welcome families of all faiths and backgrounds, and our lessons focus on universal values like compassion, gratitude, and care for others.

For the toddler room, your child does not need to be potty trained. If you choose to try and potty train during the school year, we will follow your guidance and help support your child during the school day. We recommend potty training during longer holiday breaks to help with the transition.

For the preschoolers, a child must be in the process of CONSISTENT toilet training or be fully trained. A child must be in underwear or pull ups and must be able to use the toilet without assistance from an adult.

Our program is play-based, meaning children learn through hands-on exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Teachers guide activities that support emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a joyful, nurturing environment.

Our teachers are experienced early childhood educators who are passionate about play-based learning and creating a safe, loving environment for all children.

Our calendar closely mirrors Whitefish Bay Public Schools, making life easier for families with siblings in multiple schools.

  • School begins one week after WFB Public Schools
  • School ends one week before
